Born Letterkenny ,Co Donegal, he studied at Londonderry School of Art, the Royal College of Art in London and in Paris and Rome.
He taught in London, Portsmouth and Southsea.
In 1927 he became a member of the Belfast Art Society and opened a studio in Belfast.
He made etchings of Ulster landscapes and of architectural subjects.
Later he settled in London and died there in 1949.
This is one of his rarer little subjects in reasonable condition, the fastidious may wish to remount it.
