Nathaniel Hone, born 1718 died 1784
Nathaniel Hone, born in Dublin, went to England and travelled the country as an itinerant portrait painter. In 1742, he married and settled in London for some time, before going to Italy to study in 1750.
The year of this drawing, 1748, he is known to have painted Elisabetta Gamborini[a young lady musician and painter].
This young man seated at the table is possibly the artist himself.
